Pioneer Valley ​Sportsman’s Club

The Pioneer Valley Sportsman’s Club, located off Route 20 in West Springfield, ​Massachusetts, has been a cornerstone of the local shooting sports community ​since its establishment in 1948. This long-standing institution offers a variety of ​facilities catering to different shooting disciplines and outdoor activities. The club ​features both a pistol range and a rifle range, providing members with ample ​opportunities to practice their marksmanship in a safe and supportive environment.


In addition to the firearms ranges, the club also boasts a well- maintained trap field ​and skeet field, perfect for those who enjoy the challenge and camaraderie of clay ​target shooting. For archery enthusiasts, the club offers a dedicated archery range ​where members can hone their skills with bows and arrows. The club’s pavilion ​serves as a gathering spot for social events offering a space for members to come ​together and enjoy the outdoor setting. Additionally, there is a clubhouse members ​may access as well for events, social gatherings and other amenities.


Throughout the year, the Pioneer Valley Sportsman’s Club hosts a variety of events ​that bring members and the community together. Seasonal turkey shoots are a ​popular tradition, drawing participants from the local area to test their shooting ​abilities. The club also organizes an annual elk dinner, a much-anticipated event ​that celebrates the spirit of camaraderie and the great outdoors. These events, along ​with other gatherings and activities, make the Pioneer Valley Sportsman’s Club a ​vibrant hub for outdoor enthusiasts in the region.

Membership is via sponsor only. Membership applications can be downloaded as ​a PDF on the membership link. General meetings are held on the first Tuesday of ​every month at 7 pm. Board of Directors meetings are held on the last Tuesday ​of every month at 7 pm. Completed membership applications are only read ​during the general meetings. Sponsor and/or applicant must be present at the ​general meeting or application will not be read.
